Confusion meant only one side of ballot used

I am writing to complain about the new optical scanning system used in Tuesday's election.

No poll workers pointed out that the ballot is on both sides of the new voting sheet. The instructions on the voting sheet were not at all clear about voting both sides of the sheet. There was so much print that the "vote both sides" instruction was easily missed. There was no sign in the voting booth about voting both sides.

I realized later that I did not see the local school levy on the ballot. When I went back to the polling place, the workers showed me both sides. Of course, they did not point that earlier when I voted.

This a really serious failure of the new system.

Well, I'm not a Hoosier and can't legally vote there, but down in Indiana, we just did a show of hands for our elections. So be glad you at least have things like ballots and running water....
